“Celebrated two ribbon cuttings this morning (June 7). One was a Take and Heat food business. The other was Missouri Star Quilt Company’s new Education Center. That makes four ribbon cuttings this spring. Two more ribbon cuttings scheduled next week and five more coming after that. Tomorrow is the first volunteer work day on our new Butterfly Park. And another major sponsor committed today for the Missouri Quilt Museum! Great things are happening in Hamilton, Missouri!”
That’s a lot of ribbon cuttings! And a lot of positive activity. Congratulations, Bob!
The Greeneville, Tennessee Main Street program was awarded $100,000 to fund local facade renovations. Several grant proposals were submitted and 4 businesses will share the funding and renovate their buildings. So happy to be one of the 4 chosen. We will be removing a garage door on the front of the building and replacing it with large custom made wooden doors with sidelights and a transom window above, as well as removing the paint from our 1800’s brick building. We hope to make it a showpiece for the community, as we turn an abandoned building to an art gallery and wood shop teaching studio and our residence.
Just realized I forgot to mention our new art gallery in GreenevilleTN is called Ginko Gallery. Specializing in wood turnings and furniture, we also have art photography and ceramic pieces We opened for 1 weekend in May and will be open 1 weekend a month and by appointment this summer. The renovations to the building facade and the interior are extensive and may take a year to complete. We will keep you posted.
